Field Trip: Transylvania
Students in years six and seven from Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang have been invited to stay for one weekend in one of Transylvania’s most haunted castles of all time. In the mountains, surrounded entirely by black waters, a castle that has been abandoned for more than three hundred years is now open for visitors. Ghosts that haunt every corner, doors that lock unknowningly, secret passages crawling with mystery, shadows that whisper secrets and much more. You may be eager to enter, but who knows if you’ll make it out? Welcome to Translyvania.
Room assignment’s will posted in the Great Hall, near the Professor’s table.
(OOC: This event will begin at 6:00 am central on Wednesday, March 28th and end at 11:59 pm central on Sunday, April 1st. Keep in mind, that room assignments were handled accordingly and chosen at random for the purpose of new interactions. There will be no room changes unless the moderators see fit. There will be smaller events throughout the days that will be posted later on, but will be required to involve the entire room of the character’s assignment. Group threads are HIGHLY encouraged. Be creative, go exploring inside and outside of the castle walls. Feel free to create characters from the other schools to involve while writing. Other than meal times, a character is only allowed to interact with the roommates assigned to them as well as the created from the other schools. Remember, this can be very entertaining, humorous and different. Think outside the box and get to know everyone! Good luck.)
Gods: A Masquerade
Goddesses, demons, gods and saints all gathering under the castle’s night sky. Join us for a celebration of life and death, anonymous love, a mysterious dance and masked strangers.
The masquerade ball will be held in the Great Hall, a beautiful scene beginning at the stroke of midnight for all to see.
(OOC: The ball will begin Friday, March 9th and end March 23rd, giving roleplayers enough time to write the events of the dance. Anonymous messages may be used to emphasize anonymity, so don’t forget to keep that option on in your ask box! Also, as an added reminder, turn on all submit boxes!
Remember, I demand creativity! Put your beautiful minds to good use, it’s time to play secret admirers to the fullest!)
Valentine’s day is quickly approaching! Though it is a holiday not all enjoy, Dumbledore has been speaking to the staff about making it a grand time for everyone. Not everyone needs a significant other and the professors have all agreed to be cooperative with the special holiday and teach the students all they can.
- Professor Sprout has been working rather hard to make available different flowers in the greenhouse special for this occasion. From the normal lily to exotic bouquets, arrangements will be made upon request and given to Hufflepuff students to deliver.
- Professor Slughorn has been asked to teach his classes on different edible elixirs and essences, giving you the opportunity to create your own concoction. He has also made an announcement to teach the makings of a love potion, from Amortentia to the most subtle Essence of Jasmine. Use of love potion’s on school grounds is strictly forbidden.
- Professor McGonnagall will be teaching how to bend glass, working with the Potion’s professor to make the most beautiful glass creations for drinks and potions. She will also be showing students the art of creating customized gifts that transform at the receivers touch. She will teach upon request.
- Professor Flitwick has been asked to teach the charming of metals and precious stones, giving students the opportunity to create objects of individuality. He will also be putting a show for the school on the fourteenth, creating a festival of lights on the Quidditch pitch that students will be able to see from any place in the castle. Quidditch practice will be canceled for that day only.
- Professor Kettleburn has ordered an array of miniature creatures. Their purpose is to stay small even when growth is required. They will be a loving companion to their owners and will only die when they are no longer wanted. The headmaster advises they be removed from school campus after the holiday has come to an end. Students can request a creature from the professor and deliver it personally.
- Professor Sinistra has been working on creative spells and enchantments for the night sky. N.E.W.T level Astronomy students will be putting shows on display every evening for the two weeks leading up to St. Valentine’s day. Keep your eye out for shooting stars, meteor showers and a dance of northern lights on special evenings.
A rather large group of hummingbirds will be released on school campus. They will be delivering letters all through the day and evening until the holiday is complete.
Don’t forget to show those you care as much affection as possible. This holiday is a celebration of life, love and prosperity. Enjoy!
(OOC: The celebrations will begin February 1st and continue until February 15th. This gives roleplayers enough time to have as much Valentine’s day fun as possible. These announcements are just basics, don’t forget to be creative when it comes to gift giving and breaking the school rules. ;}
Have fun guys! Don’t forget to include friends and enemies in mischief and let’s not forget all the smut.
Remember, be creative!)

This weekend, January 13th, 14th and 15th, the students will be celebrating the New Year. Don’t forget to plan big events and special parties between other house members!
Happy New Year, everyone!
[OOC: Remember, be creative!]

The Winter Solstice is upon us, washing us with holiday cheer. As the break continues, a treat has been provided by the professors this year. The Yuletide Ball is usually an event of elegance and heavy planning, the decision to bring such a privilege to the castle heavily debated for centuries.
Finally, it was decided. This year, the Yuletide Ball will be held in the Great Hall as the New Year approaches, the occasion something no one wants to miss. For students that have left for the Holidays, you have a chance to return and participate.
Dress code will be put on display in the common rooms by your head of house, the rules and guidelines for acceptable behavior also set on announcement boards all over the school. An escort is recommended but not necessary.
Happy Holidays, students!
(OOC: The Yule Ball will be held from Friday, January 6th to Friday the 13th. We understand that RPer’s have other responsibilities and want to give everyone the opportunity to participate.
Be creative when it comes to asking and attire, hairstyles, accessories and the like. Fancy wand-work will never be frowned upon. Plot with your fellow role players for juicy stories and interesting happenings. Remember, it’s not a ball without drama!
If you have any questions at all, ask any of the Mods directly or PM the main RP page. Happy writing!)

It’s close to the Holidays. Though people will be gone from the school during break, their Christmas gifts will still be received.
The Holidays are always a good time, gifts seeming abundant, so don’t forget to keep your submit boxes open.
Be creative. You go to a school full of magic and enchantment, the presents should be just as enchanting.
At least one Mod will be here for Christmas, don’t hesitate to ask questions.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
